April has been an incredible month as we honoured our amazing military children and celebrated everything that makes them so special!

We kicked off with inspiring assemblies where we talked about what makes military children unique and strong. In the classroom, creativity bloomed through thoughtful activities, while outside, Forest School was full of fun with dandelion-themed learning — a symbol of resilience for military kids.

We dressed in yellow for dandelions and purple to show our support for military children everywhere. A big highlight was a surprise visit from the BFBS ice cream van — a well-earned treat for our fantastic pupils!

We also welcomed BBC Radio Wiltshire, who interviewed some of our children and our headteacher — what a proud moment!

Although slightly separate from the month’s theme, we received a heartfelt letter from a veteran ahead of VE Day, reminding us of the heroes in our wider military community. Our children wrote beautiful replies, which will be shared on the radio this VE Day.

It’s been a joyful, meaningful month, full of pride, creativity, and celebration of the strength and uniqueness of our military children.
