Helping Parents with Our Out of School Clubs

Finding adequate childcare arrangements has become increasingly expensive and difficult in recent years.

Having started in January, our breakfast and after-school clubs help parents counteract this issue while also providing pupils with a positive, enriching start and end to the school day.

At the clubs, children are offered a selection of foods and drinks, as well as fun activities to keep them happy and entertained. For example, in our after-school club, pupils enjoy sporting, craft, and quiet activities, as well as watching films. They are also able to use the time to complete homework.

At Larkhill Primary School, we recognise the financial difficulties facing many parents when it comes to childcare. That’s why we’ve made sure our breakfast and after-school clubs are affordable:

Breakfast Club: 7:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. (£4) — Children are provided juice and toast, cereal, or crumpets.

After-school Club: 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. (£4) — Children are provided a drink and a biscuit.

After-school Club: 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (£9) — Children are provided a drink and a biscuit, plus a healthy light tea, such as soup and a roll, beans on toast, or a bagel.

Parents can rest assured that all the food served to their children at our clubs is safely stored and prepared. Our breakfast and after-school clubs were recently given a food hygiene rating of 5, the top grade, by the Food Standards Agency.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in our breakfast or after-school clubs, or would like more information, please contact the school office during school hours on 01980 652318 or email us at [email protected]
