Reports to Parents

The last full parental and pupil review carried out was in 2015. Please click on the links below to see the outcomes. Our full reviews are carried out every two years and the next one is due in November 2017.

When evaluating the 2015 questionnaires it was felt that the strengths of our school were:

  • school staff
  • happy children
  • outdoor space
  • military understanding
  • building confidence and self esteem
  • progression
  • clean/tidy school

Areas parents felt the school could improve upon were:

  • More activities on the playground
  • Updating of the outside areas
  • Sports and after school clubs

With this in mind we set up a new lunchtime play rota with different activities for FS, KS1 and KS2 pupils.  The activities involve a rota of play leaders to instigate and supervise different activities for the pupils to enjoy.  Activities include hoops, skipping and football. as well as many other games.  The play leaders have their own yellow polo shirts to wear so all pupils know who to approach to play with.

At the end of the summer term the School Council together with the PTA were busy raising funds for outside equipment.  This was successful and phase 1 of our improvements to the outside area was duly completed and included:

  • a super fitness trail encompassing  an alphabet trail, jumping numbers and a snakes and ladders board
  • a number target board
  • a circular maze
  • netball area
  • football area
  • wooden boat for role play and climbing

This term we have also set up more after school clubs.  Clubs for this term include:

  • Tag Rugby Year 1 through to Year 6
  • Netball
  • Choir
  • Knitting and Sewing
  • Judo
  • Fiji Club
