At Larkhill, we place great value on the extra-curricular opportunities that children have in school. There are countless examples in life of children who have attended a club and found that they have a talent in that activity and then gone on to pursue that in later life, or even as their career. Clubs are a chance for children to try out a new activity, gain enjoyment from it and socialise with others while doing so. This year, in addition to the after school extra-curricular programme, we are introducing 'Club Friday', and this will take place for one hour on a Friday afternoon and all children, whose behaviour and attitude during the week have deserved it, will benefit from participating in a wide variety of activities.
In past few years, we have been able to offer a wide variety of clubs, including:
Gymnastics, tennis, judo, football, cricket, netball, film club, choir, Fijian activities, gardening club, fencing, art ...............
We are very open to new clubs and welcome any parents, with particular passions or interests, who may wish to volunteer to lead a club. If you have something you would like to offer, please contact the School Office.
Teacher led clubs are free of charge. However, clubs run by external individuals organisations may incur a cost.
Please could you ensure your child is collected promptly after the session ends. If you have given permission for your child to walk home please inform the club leader and/or the school office in writing.
All club leaders have undertaken a DBS check.
Clubs will be starting week commencing 18th September 2017.
